Astronomic Society
(Redirected from Grand Synod of Celestial Nomenclature)
Officially the Grand Synod on Celestial Nomenclature, the Astronomic Society is less powerful than the other Synods, as it serves simply to catalogue and record the names, numbers and classes of the planets in the universe.
Most people do not in fact realise that the Astronomical Society, responsible for recording the names used for every known star, planet and moon (regardless of their habitation status) is the same as the Celestial Grand Synod to which planetary governments must appeal if they wish their planet to be upgraded to a higher infrastructure class.
