Megacity

An archaic term for a nation- or planet-wide city. On shadownets, the term is humorously construed to mean a city with exactly a million buildings, a million city blocks, or a million streets. This 'misunderstanding' will be pursued as long as is funny, whenever someone uses the term.

In common usage, the term is nearly synonymous with 'class 5 planet', although a few cities can be considered 'megacities' without covering a whole planet; Corporation Point being one notable example.
