An unofficial unit of time, the solar day (or just solar) is commonly used on agricultural worlds.

Traditionally, each solar takes the day and date of dawn; so if it's Fryday June 22. at dawn, that name is used for the whole solar day, until the following dawn. This means that on worlds where a solar is longer than 25 hours, sometimes the local week will be missing some days. On the other hand, on some worlds it's possible to have 2 solars sharing the same day and date. In this case, they're referred to as, for example, "June 16.1" and "June 16.2", or "tuesday" and "late tuesday" (abbreviated Tue and Tue+).
