Week 1
"18 months at my current post catering for bumbling miners was starting to finally pay off, I had come across an interesting step in my research of Goggles Cough. I found a there was a link between the early stages of the illness and direct sunlight, I came across this quite by accident. But it would seem with there was an statistical link between health and vacations, It would seem though the fates had other things in mind instead of making the long awaited breakthrough.

As events would transpire the church saw fit to cull the brighter minds of the mine, not to mention some of the less bright. The mine was to be destroyed on accounts of the science hating church not wanting the world to accept reality once again, as bothersome as this was I and a rag tag bunch managed to survive in a odd circumstance that to be honest is fascinating. The Mine itself saved us from certain death, Is it the Church's work or a old forbidden science? I do not know the answer myself yet.

Either way It would seem we are now on the planet Quest, a testing ground for those over breeding Vermen. Thankfully I still have my notes installed. My first aim is to survive the desert we are in, and avoid the rabid Vermen. My secondary aim is to return home with minimal casualties, that and keeping my cover of course. Either way it seems I will be kept occupied, the people I am travelling with are a rag tag bunch prone to injury. Even right now, I see they're trying to talk to one of the local lions."

Week 2
The little day trip from Nix to quest has just become more and more interesting, not to mention bloodier by the minute. One of my female companions (name here) learned the hard way that lion taming is not easy, at the cost of (name here)'s arm. Thankfully that was fixable and low behold we were saved by someone competent, his name is (name) and is quite skilled in reading ancient texts. Oddly our resident recognition (name) and our new comer have something in common, Jigsaw like pieces that seem linked to how we appeared on the hell hole known as Quest.

The stones just happen to have a radioactive property, though thankfully it is low enough to avoid harm to us. The stones also seem to be the way home, each stone contains a key word and a poem. When used properly these keywords can activate turn the chamber (such as the chamber which we should of died in on Nix) into a transportation device. We managed to escape Quest and return to Nix with a somewhat limited air supply. The Air supply was dropping, and once again we escaped death. For the forth time in one day. Oh well once again we survived via the strange device and once again we were thrown into the grasps of death itself.

The transportation took us to a place with little air, atmosphere or gravity. We would of died if not for (Dave and Dan) and their space ship, The nun and the trader then took us to a hospital made of gold. The floors, the walls even the hair combs all gold. The fools who inhabit (planet name) have no real sense of value, to them this gold is “Only gold”. ( Calvin) and myself managed to sell the story that our group were divine beings, to my surprise the story sold faster then fresh (Nixon Jacks) at a Fair.

After managing to acquiring two golden Bibles and some useful medical supplies, The team spare (Heather's character) went out searching for a rune in space. On the way back after a disastrous event with the seatbelts and space, we all got back just in time to have ( Calvin) speak our way out trouble with the law. The man who would have had us killed by a mining laser would have us questioned for heracy, we managed to get away with only a slight shot injury to (Calvin). Reforming as a group at the (University), we proceeded to the Museum of (Place), Stealing from a museum we lost (Dave's character), and tried to escape.

Ending up back at the entry point to this space hole we managed to escape the Church and return to Nix.... Maybe the next jump will be less dangerous?

A rare disease of unknown origin. It is more common in highly polluted areas and those with a high degree of gang violence, although which is the cause and which is the effect ie debatable.

Type 1
"I'm gonna Rip Your Face Off!"

A degenerative neural condition which leads to loss of higher reasoning functions, establishment of a pack hunting social system (where the sufferer finds the need to be the Alpha), albinoism and adrenaline overproduction and a degeneration in both learning and reflexive actions usually ending in heart failure.
Most commonly this manifests in early cases as an tendency to overreact to stressful situations.
In most cases this is fatal although if diagnosed early the symptoms can be managed by a drug known as Zyphate and a dietary regimen. It can also be managed by strict environmental controls, however this is ludicrously expensive and requires full time monitoring.
The Life expectancy is approximately 35 years, although violenc tends to cause this to fall to around 25.

Type 2
"Your existence is no longer advantageous"

A person with Type 2 Smith-Wheeler Syndrome is nothing less than a monster in human form. The symptoms are above excluding the reflex degeneration and the loss of planning faculties.
The sufferer exhibits tactical ability devoid of emotional ties and a bizarre lust for human blood (note that the blood is not required for their continued function, it is a pointless obsession on any world which is not experiencing a food shortage) as well as an improved reaction rate. It is also reported, although not medically proven, that Type 2 sufferers do not need to sleep... ever.
No known Type 2 sufferer has ever died of anything other than violence.

The fate of Smith and Wheeler

After the identification of the syndrome and the subsequent development of the 'wonder drug' Zyphate both Smith and Wheeler began a large amount of illegal biological research, eventually being excommunicated in the year 888. There are rumors still circulating that Smith and Wheeler still live as one compounded aberration, it's lifespan augmented by their deprave twisting of science. Some say that the illegal drug Mandraxate is a bastard child of Zyphate produced in their godless and benighted chemo-forges.

At this point the pope was presented with a jar of 'Johnston Gold', a fruit preserve made for the pope known for liking his Sunday Jams. On sampling this gift and peace offering, the Pope spat it out on taste. The Jam had been laced with enough chilli that a Castilian would call 'spicy', and the Pope at the time would call 'too hot'. From that day forth it has been known as “The devils preserve”, A name given by said pope as he was later quoted to say “No man can eat that preserve, the people here must be devils”.

This particular incident has effected the two cultures in different way, but the preserve it self is still sold to this day and is a favourite along chili heads of Megelan. On New Castian though it is seen as a normal condiment with its original name.
