A district of [[Magellan]], Evensbridge is roughly triangular, shaped around 3 main centres which are connected by a single [[glideway]] known as Evensbridge Avenue, and the sector also includes the various businesses and houses along the Avenue.

==Basin Gardens==
This area was originally constructed to house the CEOs and senior managers of the rich import companies based in <address>[//Gate Basin]</address>, and every estate has at least one train line connecting to the Basin Express Circular to the North.

This area, between levels A97 and A113, is a suburban accommodation sector designed as a whole by noted architect [[Geriamiss Greenday]]. It is a picturesque landscape, with self-contained houses built on rock-and-soil islands, suspended by a mesh of downlines. These houses are divided up into 16 sub-sectors known locally as ''estates''. To travel from one estate to another, you usually need to travel via the Avenue itself, although many residents have set up unofficial bridges and ladders which provide a shortcut between one home and its neighbours.

Each island is carefully landscaped, with each estate imitating the style of a famous landscape designer or gardener from history, and has between 3 and 35 houses on it. The number of islands in an estate is also variable, and some islands have occasionally changed hands with the building of new road bridges. Each estate has its own ''village council'', which is responsible for ensuring that the space remains aesthetically pleasing and consistent. The underside of the islands is a [[plasticrete]] shell, reinforced with [[xylenel]] and steel struts to support the weight of soil for gardening, and is painted in the colours of a sunset. Combined with the fairly open overhead layers of the neighbouring Gate Basin, through which the natural sky is partly visible, it can be hard to know that you are in a [[megacity]] at all.

==Old Bridgeport==
Built on the remains of the pre-megacity town of Bridgeport, this is a haven of culture. Its main street (a spiral path stretching from old ground level up to A64 before continuing up into <address>[//Wandering Plaza]</address>) is lined with the baroque frontages of theatres and galleries, gaudy glass-and-iron restaurants and museums (many of them constructed from the remains of older buildings, transported whole from other parts of the city.

Where the Avenue enters Bridgeport from the north, it splits into 3 smaller streets, making the address numbering even more confusing for visitors. These connect with the Spiral on levels A3, A24 and (extending out of the sector slightly) A66. The western section of the Avenue connects on A31, and stretches away towards...

==Countryside==
At the heart of this sub-sector is a massive safari park and zoo, with massive rooms 4 or 5 levels high designed to mimic outdoor landscapes on various worlds. Around this, and now the more popular attraction, is a shopping village known as the Torus. It consists of a single, circular road nearly a kilometre in diameter, with a mirrored ceiling 18m overhead. On the inner side of the ring road are fashionable shops, including the largest single branch of [[Dyclaess and Schrödinger]]. On their 'back' walls, each shop has massive picture windows which allow shoppers to watch over the zoo's current ''featured landscape'' and its animals, which changes every 8 months. The other landscapes have their own viewing galleries, above and below the torus, to which members of the public are allowed access for a nominal fee.

As well as the Avenue, the Torus has a number of major roads leading away towards <address>[//Gate Basin] to the north, [//Still Forges] to the west and [//Heart City] to the southwest.</address> Despite the road being such a major thoroughfare, the Torus shopping experience is entirely suitable for pedestrians, as the shops are all on the same side of the main road (and the 5 major vehicle parking areas each have a pedestrian underpass beneath the road, on level B6, which connects to a basement-level access to one of the mall's eateries.
