New page

The [[Nix]] Obol is one of 4 legally recognised currencies within the [[United Democratic League]]. The Obol is informally divided into smaller coins called fractions; although these are rarely seen outside Nix itself, and do not actually have legal tender status. A number of businesses issue their own coins, to represent fractions of an obol (although most people don't bother keeping their change). The companies that issue fraction coins are required by Nixin law to exchange their fractions for legal coinage on demand. The most common fraction is the sixth, although it is also relatively common to get eighths (colloquially referred to as ''Dollars''), tenths and twentythirds (or ''nibbles'', which are often given to children for buying sweets).
