New page

This light cruiser was for several years (between 1214 and 1211) one of the most famous ships among [[space pirate]]s. It is based on an [[extreme cruiser]] model, the [[Ryland Park Thunderbird]], and so has no space for cargo. However, the ship's owner was able to make a quite lucrative career out of transporting wanted felons from one system to another. Its normal method of acheiving this was to perform a high speed slingshot around a planet, appearing too fast to be intercepted and passing within range of a [[temple ship]]'s jump field at the exact moment the ship vanished.

Needless to say, this dangerous act required split-second timing and absolute precision on the controls. Although the remains of the Starflitter were never found, it was widely assumed that a mistimed jump had resulted in the ship (and its unknown pilot) being laminated across an asteroid or vapourised in the atmosphere of some planet.
