Although somewhat at odds with the traditional etymology of the word, androids are generally understood to be appliances,robots or computers implementing Galactic X Datel's AndrOS operating system.
Among other things, this means that all Androids in this list can accept software upgrades froma standard size 6x4x1cm holographic matrix.
