The
[/Craank Hotel] is a run-down hotel in [Fylings/Fylings City/]. It is built in what was once Hopkins Alley, between the Transglobal Bank and Shopping City
.
Layout
The hotel is approximately 3m wide, and 28m long. It is built on 6 floors. At the back is a spiral staircase, officially the Bank's fire escape, which had a cheap plasteel roof placed over it by an unknown entrepreneur in 870 who wanted a dry place to store stock for the stall which he once ran in the alleyway. At the front of the hotel is a reception desk and lounge on the ground floor, and a bathroom on every other floor. Along the long corridors which now line the alleyway, there are now 5 rooms on each level.
There is roof access by a pull-down ladder in the top floor bathroom, so that the hotel's engineer can check on the web of downlines, strung from the statuary on the Bank roof, which supports the hotel's floors.
Each floor is actually a single length of prefabricated suspension footbridge, connected to the walls of the adjoining building with plasterboard.
The roof access is also used by the hotel's shadier customers, who know that certain unauthorised ground-to-orbit flights occasionally visit the anding pad on the mall roof.
