Commonly abbreviated simply to T, the Lambdacridian Trade-Equivalent is the currency of the planet Lambda. Due to that world's influence in the banking sector, the T has become a de-facto common currency for inter-world traders (including shops on board temple ships) to use when listing their prices. Many merchants also accept payment in T-coins, while others will accept digital payment in any currency, and simply use the Trade-Equivalent for convenience when displaying a price anyone can relate to.
