Shadowtalk term for a person new to a shadownet echo, or who hasn't yet come to understand the etiquette and style of the network.
Etymology: Briefly seen in Magellan street-slang, (after the introduction of the Registration of Indigenous Persons Act) to refer to an off-worlder who has recently immigrated and doesn't yet have government ID. This form was observed in a poem scrawled on the side of a train carriage in permanent ink, written RIPe. The text was considered insightful enough, and the calligraphy pretty enough, that a photograph of the text spread virally through most of the common gates.
