A brand of personal of armour, originally made by Callibander's Elite Tailoring in <date>1138</date>. The material is a xylene variant, which is woven in a hexagonal mesh with stiffness and weight roughly similar to cotton clothing. However, a small electronic package (normally concealed in the collar) can detect incoming projectiles or energy bursts and apply a live current, causing the fabrictostiffen.
The trade name for the material is thick//thin because it has the effective armour properties of an ablative jacket an inch thicker, while only having the weight of a normal shirt.
