One or two man ships, these little vessels work in groups of 2 or 3 if they need to get any maneuvering done. They are little more than a minimalist cabin (sometimes the cabin is simply a cage, and requires the pilot to have an EVA suit) with several large engines pointing in all directions. These engines are specced for raw thrust rather than speed or precision. A tug's usual function is hauling around [[cargo container]]s. To get a container into dock, one tug will be chained to each corner. As a container can mass thousands of tonnes, the power in these little machines is really necessary.

A tug's usual function is hauling around cargo containers. To get a container into dock, one tug will be chained to each corner. As a container can mass thousands of tonnes, the power in these little machines is really necessary.
