Barquin

A drug developed by the Federal Extraplanetary Expedition Taskforce to enhance soldiers' stamina, barquin was in use for approximately 3 years before the side effects (including persistent insomnia and occasional loss of long term memory) were judged too dangerous. However, since then a number of mercenary groups (and possibly some federal planetary militias who had access to the research) have created a lucrative black market for the product.
