In the Castillian Mafia (and occasionally among other similar groups), a person who ranks highly enough that other families (and the police) don't dare touch them. Safe Men are protected; you don't touch them unless you're willing to face the full power of the family.
A safe man, on the other hand, is a sec cracker who specialises in opening wall safes and security boxes. It is important to note the distinction, as a safe man has never been important enough to join the ranks of the Safe Men.
