A world with an extremely low surface temperature, such that the inhabitable areas are almost entirely covered with snow, icefloes or glacial formations. Sometimes extended to include worlds whose surface features include a large proportion of naturally formed glass or other crystals, which can look like ice.
If the planet's core is also ice, planetologists will usually prefer to use the term Icecube.
