A genre of music, originally created by Discarnate Crimson Enrichment of Twisting Phenologies, who sought to derive an aesthetically pleasing sound from pure mathematical patterns and sequences.
Later performers have mostly immitated the sound he produced, rather than his methods or philosophy, but the genre still takes the name he picked for his first composition.
