A long range (but high-latency) wireless network, broadcast from satellite on worlds where it is impractical to have local network repeaters. Each satellite (or line station) broadcasts network data to receivers within thirty thousand miles in any direction; though the antennae on most computers may only have enough broadcast power to connect within a couple of hundred miles, unless they are specifically designed to work on such a world.

Worlds with orbital broadcasts for their Worldnets at present include Azkaderva, Quest and Toksvig.
