Founder of the famous Maveggan Flight Vehicle Company, and grandfather of the current owner Wald J Maveggan. Although he ran for 40 years a company making spacecraft of all types, Harlan himself never left the atmosphere of his home planet, Rylands. He retired at the age of 66, joining a monastery, and passing on the business to his youngest son Cairfax. His life after this point is not a matter of public record.
