Castillian Hospital Doctors

A long-running TV serial, filmed on a dedicated stage on Sophia. The series is set in the fictional Castillian Hospital. The series focuses on the relationships of a number of doctors, and the hospital's rivalry (both for funding, and in sporting events between staff teams) with nearby Downtown Hospital.

It is relatively common for minor Castillian celebrities to guest star on the show. These appearances are filmed at the South Celleston Infirmary (which also doubles as Castillian Hospital's exterior when a model shot won't suffice) and digitally composited into scenes filmed on Sophia.

The latest plot arc (season 17, broadcast <date>842</date>) deals with Doctor Destinee Devonn's determination to win a charity Flagonball tournament, and Dr Numpeter's planning for the associated Flagon games against his perpetual rival, downtown paramedic Gruntrude Schweng. As would be expected, his training regime brings him and his supporters an awful lot of conflict with the hospital board.

The series is broadcast throughout most of the Federation of Known Worlds, but videos require some effort to obtain on New Castile itself. As of 845, the series has been available through Transnet Publication, greatly enlarging its potential audience. A parody versiopn of the show Doctor Mc Scotty is also shown on the planet Nix, with the characters dubbed to make the series a farcical comedy. In this version, Dr Numpeter (As Dr M.C. Scott) is transformed from annoying straight man to the show's hero.
