A Core Cult is one which believes in the absolute sanctity of central church doctrine and the word of the bible, and insists that they should only follow this 'core' rather than adding their own interpretation or traditions. Unfortunately, there are many issues which don't have an official translation; which means that many Core Cult chapters disagree almost as much as cults with their own interpretations and beliefs. Almost every such cult refers to themselves as The Core Cult, although a small but significant number call themselves the Orthodox or Standard Church, or variations on those names.
