Based on Balingrad, the university's official slogan is "The Best School in the Universe". It specialises in teaching engineering, and has many rivalries with other nearby centres of education.
The university has a term-time population of 38000, and its service centres make it a city in its own right. Its main rivalry is against the <address>Balingrad/Centre for Scientific Studies</address>.
