A vanishing suit is made of a mesh, on which are laid coherent light image projectors (such as those used in common 3DTV sets), as well as compatible cameras. The Image from the cameras is passed to the projectors on the other side, so each camera displays an image of the landscape on the opposite side of the suit. This can produce an image of the background realistic enough to make the wearer "vanish" to low-resolution cameras and range finders; however, the system is incredibly expensive, and will never be completely invisible due to the delay introduced by the need to split apart the signals from so many sensors and work out which projector to send each angle to; this requires an incredible amount of computing power, especially if the wearer is moving quickly or unpredictably.
