A Shadowtalk term for a naively designed piece of software; a zombie may have malicious intent, or may be a genuine mistake, but the results of using it are usually quite destructive. Specifically, a zombie is a utility which performs a preprogrammed set of actions without checking that the start conditions are what it expects. For example, a robot which knows how to make tea, but doesn't check the position of the cup, so will obliviously pour boiling water onto the table if the cup has been moved since the robot last used it.
