Audacity

A TV show which straddles the line between reality and fiction. The show is centred around a group of recurring characters who live in a house together in <address>Magellan/Broken Bells</address>. They frequently indulge in games and stunts of questionable legality, often with outrageously over the top costumes and props, in an attempt to outdo each other. The series long-term plot is frequently adapted by the writers at short notice, as these stunts are done "for real" by the actors, and it is rare for the staff to know in advance whether or not a given plan will work.

A great deal of the show's popularity is due to the public knowledge that the stars are in real danger of injury or arrest in many of their exploits. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger, in which the next week's "big challenge" is announced, and a great deal of the show's income is from viewers gambling on the result.

Past big challenges have involved the characters Gerschwin "The Mime" Feldbruzze robbing a bank with an "invisible shotgun", and Freedom Jones turning up to a local vert gang's meeting naked except for purple body paint.
