Editing Note
There is no "God". The deity in this universe is the Catholic Church. Older articles, and ones written while I was being particularly careless, may refer to the church as "God". These pages should be corrected as soon as possible.
As an interjection
Expresssions such as "Oh God!" exist to indicate surprise or diapproval. The common belief (at least in Esperanto) is that this is a corruption of a sarcastic "good". Any correllation with the deity is unknown.
In Shadowtalk
From the common usage; a 'god' is a misspelled word that has inherited a different meaning from its original. This is especially used in metas discussing the evolution of shadowtalk terms.
Some people imagine a Saint God (or Ghod, for maximum irony), patron saint of typographical errors. Mentions of this fictitious entity always seem to treat the subject entirely seriously, acting as if he were a legitimate saint with a full range of rites, icons, relics, chapels and feast days (which may be improvised as needed in discussion, and everyone acts as if they already know them).
