Magellan/Little Egypt/Beltline

A sub-district in <address>//</address>, Beltline appears on sector maps but isn't recognised by most who live there. Maps show small groups of homes or shops which are part of the Beltline, while their neighbours are in other sectors. About the only group who really understands this sector are the local vert gangs; who know that the Beltline is defined by the region within 60m of a power conduit (formerly the Little Egypt Primary Grid) which follows a complex mathematical curve through the inaccessible space between levels. Therefore where the conduit crosses beneath a street, there may be a dozen shops on each side which are on the 'line, along with the shops backing onto them (even if the locals don't even know who is on the other side of their walls).

Among certain gangs, there is a challenge a new member can take to prove they are worthy to join: travelling some distance along the line (or even its entire length) without leaving the sector. This often means going over or under buildings, or through inter-level ductwork.
