Pope Advent's official statement of ascension states that he was 99 years old at the time of his instatement, making him the oldest serving pope. However, as can easily be seen, his date of birth (as listed on his tomb on Sepulchrus Divinorum) does not support this age. The Church has given no official statement on the discrepancy, however it is widely believed that to mention or question it would be considered heretical, as it would cast doubt on the reliability of the Most Divine Grand Synod.
