Starflitter

This light cruiser was for several years (between 1214 and 1211) one of the most famous ships among space pirates. It is based on an extreme cruiser model, the Ryland Park Thunderbird, and so has no space for cargo. However, the ship's owner was able to make a quite lucrative career out of transporting wanted felons from one system to another. Its normal method of acheiving this was to perform a high speed slingshot around a planet, appearing too fast to be intercepted and passing within range of a temple ship's jump field at the exact moment the ship vanished.

Needless to say, this dangerous act required split-second timing and absolute precision on the controls. Although the remains of the Starflitter were never found, it was widely assumed that a mistimed jump had resulted in the ship (and its unknown pilot) being laminated across an asteroid or vapourised in the atmosphere of some planet.
