Shadowtalk term for a politicial whose views seem to be calculated to appease the greatest possible proportion of the electorate, rather than portraying any clear opinions or goals of his own. A puppet is clearly not in politics for the power, as he never uses his power to do anything other than please the lowest common denominator.
Etymology: A person who supposedly has power, but is clearly controlled by muppets. The rhyme in this phrase has led to it mostly obscuring alternatives such as Talking headless.
