Geneova is a sparsely populated system, with a population of only 7 billion spread over 5 inhabited planets. The rocks are named after their Presidents at the time the individual democracies were dissolved by the institution of a system-wide monarchy in 1984. In order from the innermost world, the rocks are:

Currency
The common currency is the Royale, commonly abbreviated R. For small transactions, the Royale can be broken up into 160 'bits'. or 216 'zeny'. These two smaller units are referred to together as 'fractions'. An amount of 1 bit is written "R.1" and a single zeny is "1z". R50.6 is 50 royale and 60 bits (the trailing zero can be ommitted for amounts between R.10 and R.100), while R50.60z is 50 Royale and 60 zeny. Where an amount includes both fraction units (usually only seen on the totals of balance sheets), the notation looks like R100/25.7 (100 Royale, 25 zeny and 70 bits).
Kings of Kara Geneova
The planetary rulership of the Geneova system is a constitutional antiplutocracy.
The ruler is the King, who has the ability both to propose bills of law without a seconder, and to veto any bill regardless of the votes of the Common Parliament.
The kingship was originally a hereditary system, but this quickly led to disputes over the title. Now, a new King is selected every 3 years by electronic lottery.
Those with an annual income over 24000R are exempt from kingship, as it is considered unfair to cause difficulty by taking an entrapreneur's time away from his investments. Similarly, anyone with a full time job is considered to be fully occupied with his work.
Therefore the kings of Kara Geneova is selected from the lists of those unemployed and eligible to claim statutory benefits.
As the kingship does not confer any wealth or lands, therefore, the king must rely on the charity of his subjects to reach the parliamentary commissions. As these commissions are held on a different continent every month, the public support for a King (or the causes he represents) is a limiting factor on his power in government.
