Daughter of the legendary Silverlake family, Callisto never wanted for anything. As the family's only heir, she even stood to inherit the Silverlake Royale hotel chain, as well as the original hotel and leisure complex which occupies virtually the entire
[/Starview] and [/Eventide] sectors, in the luxurious upper-A levels of [Magellan/North Island]
.
However, her life took a turn for the worse in 873, when she fell in love with travelling Vermandanyiiri Lute-salesman Mendelworf Falfarionstallberger. She was ostracised by most of her family, and for a short period found her inheritance challenged by Mankindest, a human supremacist political group run by two of her uncles.
Although her father quickly resolved the legal issues, in 864 a more miliant splinter group - Humanist Prime - dragged Callisto before a mock 'trial' in front of the Royale, where she was found to be a race traitor and shot dead.
After this incident, Callisto's grandfather Pol Silverlake altered his will to cut off any family member with humanist connections, and banned any past or present member of the organisation from his hotels. Contrary to their expectations, the Primes have made the Royale one of the most proactively interracial-friendly corporations in the universe.
Callisto's inheritance passed entirely to their son Geriamiss S. Falfarionstallberger, after Mendelworf retired to a Vermen/Wayist monastery on Pathgezugseher to deal with his grief.
