Created by a group of makeshifters on Alfeya, the Triton was a popular ground and water craft. The original model was based on a Metagalactic Titan-II cruiser, with its engines replaced by large ZPM-powered screws. This design was modified by its creators, eventually becoming a hovercraft/submersible hybrid capable of operating both on land and under water.
The name Triton refers to both the vehicles, the company founded by Llaraman Steele and Walther Jenket to mass-produce craft based on their design, and Steele's advanced jet engine design which operates effectively in either air or water.
