A virus, first seen around the year 890, named after Professor Afflicted Chrominance Higher-Egress of Lilac Multitudes, who first analysed it.

Chrome stimulates production of certain hormones in human victims, creating a feeling of restlessness and boundless energy. Those infected normally feel compelled to exercise vigorously and continuously (creating ideal conditions for the virus to replicate), until they die from exhaustion.

One of Chrome's most distinct features, therefore, it that it is usually only fatal among able-bodied adults who are capable of exercising to excess. The young, elderly and disabled are subject to urges they can't satisfy, but these die down after about a week.

The virus is airborne, but also spreads using the victim's perspiration as a transmission medium.

As of 874, most children are vaccinated against Chrome as part of the Common Disease Panel
