The region outside normal space through which Temple ships pass during a Jump.
The church insists that this is actually the same space which will form the Kingdom of Heaven, and where the souls of the worthy pass after death. Therefore it is essential that the Vault is kept pure, and free of sin. It is for this reason that confession is mandatory for all passengers immediately before a Jump.
