Founding Myth

According to legend, during the evacuation of the planets Mars and Europa, vast numbers of small cruisers were flown into the path of the temple ship of the journey as it jumped, creating a discontinuous transit which evacuated many more people than the temple itself could carry.

6 months later, a Marsian warship came to settle a small ice ball known as Blingman's Star, which they believed would be a strategic advantage. However, they found that their 'planet' was already occupied by a family group led by a woman named Quara, who had arrived after miscalculating their transit.

The family had found that they liked the planet, and the rugged beauty of its landscapes. They didn't want to live under military rule, and contacted the church to register themselves as discoverers (and therefore rulers) of the planet.

The name the family placed on the settlement documents was Wordishall, because the aurora resembled that of the fictional world in animated TV series Ella of Wordishall.

However, this story is certainly apocryphal, as the planet Mars is entirely mythical, and the government of New Europa would certainly know if their planet had ever been evacuated.
