A (possibly mythical) group of Space pirates, who set up floating societies in space in order to allow them to conduct research outside the rules imposed by the Theocratic Science Service. This is said to involve research into highly illegal subjects such as stellar engineering and Jump technology.
Current myth proposes a massive colony of Science Pirates in the <address>[/Outer Ring] of [Caine's Star/]</address>.
