Ecclesiastical Law is the body of law authored by the Temple Grand Synod, of which any breach is considered heretical. Every planet among the 333 worlds either passes laws to mirror Ecclesiastical Law (and enforces these as stringently as their own laws), or has constitutional clauses which require all residents to adhere to Ecclesiastical Law.

Any planet which does not meet these conditions is excommunicated, effectively cut off from the rest of the universe.

Not to be confused with Divine Law, which (although being passed by a body known as the Ecclesiarchy) is only effective on certain planets.

The tenets of Ecclesiastical Law are set down in the Bible, in the books Exodus (the famous 12 Commandments), I Leviticus, II Leviticus, V Leviticus, Bull, and VI Leviticus.
