Antoinette Blake

The daughter of senior mining engineer Jon Blake and Froskimo descendant Umai Wordsmith Sovive, Antoinette was always striking. Her beauty was coupled with a natural talent for athletics, and many among her peers believed that she could become a success in professional sports.

However, while heading to Rairfield for the Field Sports Junior Olympiad, she and her father were caught up in what the church described as an Intratemporal Incursion - the ship spent longer than usual in the Vault of Heaven and many passengers suffered hallucinations and outbreaks of psychotic paranoia. Whether during the commotion onboard the ship, or as a result of the Chrome virus outbreak onboard, nobody is quite sure. However, Antoinette Blake is among those passengers who did not survive the jump.

Certain groups protesting against the increased use of jump technology hold up Antoinette as a poster child of why we should be careful with this new technology, much to her continued embarrassment.

<ooc label="Secrets">In fact, Antoinette survived the journey, but was not aboard the Revelation when it made an emergency stop at Catterall. Along with her father and a half dozen other passengers, she had fled the ship using a stolen Tug when it encountered a fleet of temple ships which apparently included itself at hundred year intervals. They boarded the Temple ship Genesis, which the church was already insisting did not exist. As the only one familiar with the conspiracy theories surrounding the Genesis Experiment, Antoinette was instrumental in salvaging the vessel from its time loop, and was accepted by all aboard as a full member of the crew once they restored it to working order.

In 1014, at the age of 19, Antoinette married engineer Daneel Domonik Sky, and took to calling herself Antonia Sky, the name by which she in now most famous. She appeared to be in her mid-30s between 859 and 854, during which time she was President of Shipyard. She is probably still alive, and is now considered to be a full Captain of the Nemesis.</ooc>
