Magellan/Seven Bells

One of many districts of Magellan. Seven Bells' district council uses a logo of a green tree, which vaguely approximates the shape of the sector. It has a wide, irregularly shaped section at the top. The richest of the Bells' residents live along the northern edge of this area, known locally as the cloud, which overlooks <address>Basin and even has many views of the sky. To the south and below the southern part of the cloud, there are many roads leading to Plaza and City, while the western and eastern edges respectively border with Forges and Gates, and Bells and [1]. The cloud stretches up to level A186, above which there is a wide park known as the vanity garden, its ceiling being the levels descending from the S-level sector Plaza above.</address>

Below the cloud, and completing the tree-like shape, there is a narrow trunk which stretches down to A26, passing through the centre of <address>[2]</address> (although only a few back-streets connect the two at this level) before widening out to include a comfortable residential district for those who man the geological power station below <address>Manifold</address> some 150 levels below. Unusually, for a district serving those in menial jobs, there is an elevator set up to descend from here all the way to the power station; many locals think that this luxury shows that the plant bosses care more than most, although in fact the line was originally installed to allow certain trace minerals (needed for adjusting the composition of the soil in the large arenas in Evensbridge Zoo and the Vanity Garden) to be brought up from the planet's mantle.
