Magellan/Willikin's Tunnel

A district of Magellan, a long tunnel based around a single road just over 28 miles long, and just wide enough for a single row of 3-level houses alongside the road itself. The main road slopes consistently, connecting <address>Forges and Burningham, both in the district around [Basin at its northern end (on level B21/22) to Island/Eventide on A93/94 at the south.</address>

The road itself is designed as an express route, so most of the buildings alongside it are shops serving travellers (such as fuel supplies for certain types of ground vehicles, and travelling rations. There are junction points every mile, where there are a greater variety of shops around side-streets connecting with the city districts the tunnel passes through.

The ceiling of the tunnel is mirrored along its entire length, except for when the top of the tunnel passes through the level A93 plateau on the boundary of <address>Island</address>.
