A strange cult, based in a single monastic chapel in
[Magellan/North Island/Bareside]
. Although convention would make them nuns, its members insist on referring to themselves as clergywomen.

The main (possibly heretical, although as yet there has been no official investigation) tenet of their faith is that a number of past popes have in fact been female. They believe that the Most Divine Grand Synod has in fact approached a number of women with regard to assuming the papacy, with the caveat that they must protect the divine virility of the role by disguising their gender in public.

Although this belief is probably not heretical, it is certainly forbidden to voice the opinion that the current Pope Valedictorian III is in fact named Valery (a common female forename in Calibre City), or to imply that the cult's founder, a nun named Mary (at some unspecified time in the last 300 years) was approached by the synod with regard to becoming 'Pope Mark XII'. Other things which are probably heretical include the implication that any specific pope lied to the public about their gender, and using the word 'Pope' to refer to Mary or to the cult itself.
