Alternet

A slang term for any alternative network, which attempts to bypass the 3 'real' data networks (worldnets, ghostnets and shadownet). This especially applies to the network established by Transnet Publication (as many Shadownet users disapprove of a large system being named for a corporation), as well as other groups trying to run similar services using Gates boxes.
