A company specialising in contracted mining operations; their usual pattern is to charge a regular fee to land owners, who receive the full rights to all minerals extracted from their land. The Consortium is primarily Vermen-run, and has been known to refuse contracts on worlds with strong humanist involvement in government.

They have had some bad press over the death of Gradislav, but are now rebuilding their image. Their latest appearance in the news media has been taking over the famous <address>[/Manniler Field] diamond mine on [Nix/]</address>.
