One of the founders of Sirrius Haulage, and a genius businessman. Thorston manage to enlarge the company even during the recession of <date event="Economic Recession">962-959</date>. In order to safeguard the company against future crisis, he and his brother Winstan leave day-to-day running to a small staff, and live on board a ship orbiting their star at a significant percentage of light speed. This means that when the company faces a problem that only Thorston can solve efficiently, he can return and take direct control having only aged a couple of months during what could be a decade of what he calls boring days.
