Global Elite

A fictional political group which is rumoured to control all of Fylings politics, using either the United Executive Council or the Global Electree as figureheads.

The members of the Elite may be rich individuals, masters of alien mind control, or corporate sponsors in different versions of the story.

<ooc label="Secret truth">The Elite is actually a sophisticated computer system which manages the Fylings economy. It uses a relatively simple Bayesian filter to select the story most likely to lead each member of the official government to obey it. Everyone believes that there is a group of people behind the computer; even the technicians who service it believe that the "real" Elite are mixing orders that further their goals in with the deterministic orders of the machine.</ooc>
