Cathedral
- A cathedral is a common term for a large Chapel. However, a cathedral is often seen as sanctifying and blessing the area around it by its mere presence, and must be officially dedicated by a hierarch or Synod.
- The term is also used to mean the chapels of a temple ship, including a continuous band of confessionals which forms 3 great circles around the core of the ship. It is the holy energy of this band which prevents the entire ship from being subject to Judgement on its entry to the Vault of Heaven.
- Also, a Shadowtalk term for a person who cannot bear to hear a particular common mistake. By extrapolation from a popular TV stereotype, the priest who becomes irate on hearing someone incorrectly use 'cathedral' to refer to a temple ship, rather than just the temple. This usage is occasionally verbed.
