The Ecliptic was a cruiser made by Osterman Light Vehicle Corporation. First released in 861, it was the first creation of designer Gervais Polkett. The cruiser had a distinctive image formed of strong lines and protruding edges which never really took off. This design could never compete effectively against more style-conscious rivals, and was discontinued in 860 after only 18 months in production.

'Classic' vehicle enthusiasts have recently formed a number of fanclubs and appreciation groups for the much-maligned Ecliptic, often promoting the view that this vehicle is more efficient or reliable than its more popular successor the Osterman Nucleon.
