Enterprise

The freighter 'Spirit of Free Enterprise' was first launched in the year 6663 according to the promotional material issued by Enterprise Inc.

The Enterprise was a revolutionary cargo vessel, capable of traversing the stars more efficiently than even the temple ships. Businessmen marvelled at the published schedules, which showed the Enterprise visiting up to a dozen planets on the same day. It took the public several years to realise that this was not an independant parcel carrier with some previously-unknown form of warp drive, but in fact a very well planned schedule for a fleet of 14 ships with the same name and designation.

In the present day, the Enterprise fleet (now 19 ships strong) continues to provide an interplanetary parcel post service for 50 planets which they refer to as the 'Core Worlds', but which popular slang knows as Enterprise space.
