One of the folk-heroes of the modern age, Captain Sky was among the crew of mythical space pirate vessel Nemesis.

She is supposed to have participated at the Battle of Cyradian, appearing from nowhere to rescue the rebel Democratic League's leaders when they were cornered. Apparently armed with a whip and two antique solid-projectile duelling pistols, it is hard to see what difference a single fighter could have made.

However, those who recount the myth say that it is her courage and tenacity, rather than mere firepower, which inspired the survivors to keep going in an apparently hopeless situation.

Captain Sky has also been mentioned in the reports on a number of crimes against corporations and plutocratic states. Robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, it is likely that the Captain is merely a convenient codename, allowing criminals an their associates to work without knowing each others' real identities.

When described, most "witneses" now seem to be referencing a common picture posted on the shadownets by an artist known as eclypz. Before this, the only common features are long red hair, and a rugged beauty. The picture (and those later) shows Captain Sky with a wide brimed hat, pale skin and piercing blue eyes. She wears a mirrorshade monocle, with braided cables runing under her hat and collar (indicating a non-wireless display, itself unusual). She has a long, tan coloured coat which trails on the ground behind her, the outside covered with pockets containing a wide range of devices. On her back is a large sword (even though the myths about her nevr mention one - this seems to be Eclypz's trademark), on her belt is a bullwhip, and she has two large pistols crossed on her back under the coat, concealed but still easily drawn with either hand. The picture also depicts her with sleeves rolled back, more cables leading from one cuff to a set of motionsense rings. Her shirt and trousers are simple black or white cotton, trimmed with fur, and her long boots, though soft and shiny leather, look quite practical with chrome heels only long enough to be a improvised weapon, without slowing her movement.
